Robert Rodriguez
Lead Pastor
Pastor Rob is passionate about leading congregations into a well-balanced, Christ-centered ministry—one marked by strong Bible-based teaching, spiritual formation, and missional living in everyday life. He is also a monthly week-long contributor to the YES FM Wake Up Call Morning Show's devotional segment, The Morning Munch, where he encourages listeners across Northwest Ohio, Indiana, and on iHeartRadio with Scripture, practical wisdom, and gospel-rooted hope.
At Solid Rock Community Church, Pastor Rob provides leadership in preaching and teaching, vision development, and administrative oversight. He serves as an elder, is the primary platform communicator, leads the church staff, manages day-to-day operations, and serves on the combined leadership teams. He was first ordained in April 2002 by the First Spanish Baptist Church (Brooklyn, New York), and is also credentialed as an ordained minister and lead pastor through the Fellowship of Evangelical Churches.
Before coming to Ohio, Pastor Rob served as a lead pastor in the Greater Philadelphia region for five years. Prior to that, he spent six years as a church planter and pastor/coach to church planters throughout Metro New York City. His ministry journey began as a youth pastor in Georgia, followed by six years of pastoral ministry in Western New Jersey.
Rob holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)in Pastoral Ministries and a Master of Theology (Th.M.) in Systematic Theology. Alongside his pastoral calling, he brings robust marketplace experience in business systems, data management, organizational leadership, and sales. He currently serves as the Business Systems Coordinator for The Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Pastor Rob also serves on the Board of Trustees for America's Keswick and for 628 Ministries. Locally, he is the presiding clergy for the Village of West Unity Council meetings and provides chaplaincy support to the West Unity Police Department. He continues to advise both church-planting networks where he previously served.
A developing author, Rob’s newest book—Confidently, Cross-Culturally Courageous: Having Important Conversations in Context—helps readers navigate the crucial, honest, and sometimes awkward conversations necessary for spiritual and relational health. His first book, The Valley Experience: Finding Victory in Life Lowest Moments chronicles his journey through grief and spiritual formation, while his second, The Organized Shepherd: Holistic Data, Doctrine, and Diligence, equips bi-vocational pastors with a biblically grounded and data-informed approach to ministry.
Rob has been joyfully married to his wife, Rebecca, since August 2002. They have four children—one in high school, one in college, one living in the Philadelphia area, and one working locally in Northwest Ohio.
