This sermon series will explore these vital practices over the next few weeks. We will lay the essential foundation, exploring the biblical mandate for discipline and introducing the cornerstone practices of Bible intake and prayer. We will delve into inward disciplines like meditation, fasting, and solitude, which cultivate personal transformation and intimacy with God. And we will focus on the outward expression of this inner godliness through disciplines involving community and action, such as service, stewardship, and fellowship.

Week four, "Living Out the Ordered Life," shifts our focus from inward cultivation to the essential outward expressions of a heart transformed by God's grace. Grounded in the Great Commandment to love God supremely and love our neighbor derivatively, this week explores how disciplines like Service allow us to Demonstrate God’s Love by actively meeting needs and emulating Christ. We examine Stewardship, particularly in Sacrificial Giving, as a vital way to honor God with all He has entrusted to us, which itself is an act of Worship. Finally, we delve into Fellowship, understanding that living in authentic community is crucial to Motivate God’s Family, grow together in Discipleship, and Communicate God’s Message through our unified witness. Ultimately, these outward disciplines are not legalistic duties but joyful, Spirit-empowered rhythms that allow our ordered inner lives to overflow for God's glory and the good of others.
